Princes Risborough School (PRS) is excited to be hosting its second Careers Fair on Thursday 9th October 2025, and we are currently looking for organisations and individuals who are passionate about their careers and eager to inspire the next generation! Please get involved!

Last week some of our Y10 students visited Oxford University for a Biophysics Impact day. They visited a number of the science labs, studied the motion of particles, viewed specimens using microscopic techniques and analysed antibiotic resistance in bacteria.

Yesterday we were very lucky to welcome Zeus and friends to PRS to help him in acclimatising to the environment of a drama classroom. Zeus is a (very gorgeous) hearing dog who is training to be an assistance dog for a drama teacher. #prs Hearing Dogs for Deaf People

After a delayed start due to the rain, PRS Sports Day is well underway with lots of events going on across the school! Records have already been broken and enthusiasm and competitive spirit is high! #prs #aspireandachieve

Despite the morning's heavy rain, we can report that our Sports Day was a huge success! We managed to run 95% of planned events, thanks to the incredible adaptability of staff and the spirit of our students! Congratulations to Pyrtle Spring, this year's overall winner!

It was a pleasure to recognise our students at the Celebration of Achievement event, with speeches, reflections, performances and the presentation of certificates and prizes. We are proud of all our students and hope that events like this encourage them to aspire and achieve!

If your child has been invited to take part in the Rewards Day tomorrow, they are permitted to come to school in their own clothes! If they have chosen the Inflatable Paint Challenge they should also bring a change of clothes for afterwards. All other students - PE kit please!

After an early departure from school this morning, the Y9 & 10 Spanish trip has touched down safely in Barcelona! They are now making their way into the city to check into their hotel, before a walking tour of Las Ramblas this afternoon! ¡Que lo pases genial! #prs

Huge congratulations to our fourteen Year 12s who completed and passed their Gold Qualifying Expedition in the Elan Valley, Wales over the weekend. The conditions didn't make it easy but the students all rose to the challenge, showing a huge amount of resilience!

In Barcelona, Y9 and 10 Spanish students spent yesterday afternoon exploring Las Ramblas - they have reported being exhausted but exhilarated - they had a great day! ¡Vamos al día 2! #prs #aspireandachieve

Grittleton Day 2!

** Barcelona Update ** Today the group have been exploring the Parc Güell and touring the Gaudi Experience. Now time for a siesta, before going to La Boqueria Marquez this evening! ¡Disfrutar! #prs #aspireandachieve

Yesterday evening students explored Sant Josep Market also known as La Boqueria, the most famous and picturesque market in the heart of La Rambla Avenue. They then had a relaxed dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe on the Plaça de Catalunya. #PRS #aspireandachieve

Back on the school site, Enrichment Week activities today include performances for Y10 by The Globe Players, a first aid session led by South Central Ambulance Service, Race Around the World Geography and the Olympics!

Year 7 have now left Grittleton and are heading back to School. They will be back to be dismissed as usual at 3pm. Please note, parents will not be allowed to drive onto the school site for safety and safeguarding reasons!
