Exciting news! My PhD student, Asish Joshi Ashish Joshi (now a postdoc at UT Southwestern) has been selected for a platform talk at the Biophysical Society meeting (Los Angeles, Feb 2025). He'll present his exciting PhD work on single-molecule FRET & homoFRET in condensates.

Our paper out in eLife - the journal. Full-length #nanopore RNA sequencing uncovers 5' #RNA shortening upon cellular #stress that depends on ✅ stress-granules and #XRN1 but ❌ not poly(A) or cap removal. elifesciences.org/articles/96284 🤔 useful to further reduce translational load during #ISR ?

Excited to share that my student Ashish Joshi Ashish Joshi has been selected for the Biophysical Society's Biological Fluorescence (BF) award (sponsored by PicoQuant) based on his PhD work @IISERMohali on which he'll speak at the BF Subgroup Symposium in Los Angeles on Feb 15

Happy to share the final program of the 2025 Intrinsically Disordered Proteins Subgroup Symposium at the Biophysical Society Meeting to be held in Los Angeles on February 15. Looking forward to seeing you all in less than a week BPS IDP Subgroup Biophysical Society.

Prof. Cliff Brangwynne is the 2025 Seitz Lecturer. Please join us on March 26th. brangwynnelab softlivingmatter.princeton.edu UChicago Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering UChiPhysicalSciences UChicago Biological Sciences University of Chicago (MGCB) UChicagoBMB

Ashish Ashish Joshi will deliver the Student Award in Biological Fluorescence talk today at 11:25 AM in Room 515A at the Los Angeles Convention Center. He will talk about his PhD work on single-molecule and homoFRET in biomolecular condensates.

I'm so thrilled to read an interview of my former PhD student, Priyanka Dogra Priyanka Dogra, now a postdoc at St. Jude St. Jude Research St. Jude with Kriwacki Lab. In this interview, she describes her exciting scientific journey and her fascinating research. stjude.org/research/progr…

Excited that our nucleolus mapping paper just came out today in Nature! Truly an amazing study from even more amazing due of Sofi Quinodoz & Lifei jiang w/ Denis LJ Lafontaine & Sebastian Klinge and other fantastic co-authors nature.com/articles/s4158…

I'm looking forward to interacting with students & postdoctoral fellows on Sunday, July 20, at 10:30 AM (Delhi/Mumbai), 2 PM (Tokyo), 6 AM (London), 1 AM (New York) & 10 PM, July 19 (San Francisco). Thanks to the.scicomm.synapse for organizing this event. thescicommsynapse.in/event-details/…

What an excellent review article by my former PhD student, Priyanka Dogra Priyanka Dogra, with Kriwacki Lab St. Jude Research on "Phase separation via protein-protein and protein-RNA networks coordinates ribosome assembly in the nucleolus" published in BBA. doi.org/10.1016/j.bbag…
