From 17–20 May, our Project and Training Supervisor, Akash Thapa, visited Sangath in Goa to conduct a capacity-building session for the MeWeSports program facilitation team. The sessions covered key topics such as S4D facilitation, session planning, and child safeguarding.

On 30 May, our partner Haryana Steelers organized an online workshop as part of the Udaan initiative to mark Menstrual Hygiene Day, focusing on the importance of menstrual health. The session was attended by 60 girls from the initiative being implemented in rural areas of Panipat

Between 27th and 29th May, team members from PSD participated in a capacity-building workshop organized by TAFISA. The sessions focused on modules that will be delivered by PSD trainers as part of the Girls Positive and Safe Coaching Pathway 2025.

Excited to share that 8 young people from our Community Cricket Program in Bhubaneswar are in Delhi (4-8 June) for our annual Delhi Exposure Visit - exploring heritage sites, joining capacity-building & cricket sessions, and learning about Upamanyu Mallik and our partner TUMI!

Our Community Cricket Program participants kicked off their Delhi visit with capacity-building sessions led by PRIA India and @MFFIndia, as well as our team. Up next: visiting heritage sites and cricket training sessions!

As the exposure visit continued, our young participants from the Community Cricket Program explored some of Delhi’s iconic heritage sites and enjoyed cricket practice at our partner ACE Practice’s training venue. The visit concluded with a friendly match among the participants.

The PSD team is in Bhubaneswar! From 16-19 June, we are holding our annual strategy review - reflecting on the past year, setting priorities for this year, and planning next steps towards our 2023-28 goals. Also on the agenda: capacity building, team bonding & local sightseeing!

We are excited to announce a new partnership with Each One Feed One! Through this partnership, we will expand our Kadam Badhate Chalo programme to new locations in Delhi's Okhla Vihar and Shram Vihar, working to empower communities and foster safe, and inclusive spaces for all.

On the second day of our strategy review meeting, the team visited a Community Cricket Program session at Dumduma High School. This was followed by discussions on our progress toward key goals, along with a capacity-building session on leveraging AI to address challenges.

On the third and final day of the meeting, the PSD team took a break from reviewing the organisational strategy and planning goals for the year ahead to explore sights in and around Bhubaneswar - a well-deserved pause that also fostered team bonding.

PSD staff, along with partners PRIA India and Martha Farrell Foundation, took part in the Participatory Lunch - a fun biannual activity that challenges gender roles at work and home, while exploring diverse cuisines and building team spirit!

Between 9-28 June, PSD held a summer camp for participants of our Udaan program in Haryana, focusing on developing kabaddi skills and techniques such as toe touches, hand touches and side kicks. 49 participants joined in during their school break!

On 4th July, the PSD team conducted an internal capacity-building session on using Google Workspace for day-to-day operations. The session covered key features of Google Docs, Slides, Sheets, Drive, and Meet, along with practical tips on leveraging AI to enhance daily workflows.
