Show me your culture has gone insane without saying your culture has gone insane. "One study of over 1,000 youth athletes, found that 60% of them had specialized in a single sport before age 12 and that the mean age of SPECIALIZATION was 8.1." petergray.substack.com/p/79-the-decli…

In 9 provinces and 3 territories, its Canada Day. In Newfoundland and Labrador, it’s Canada Day and the 108th Memorial Day. This day honours the brave soldiers who stood up against evil, sacrificed for others, and made this province proud. I will never know that sacrifice.

Getting closer and closer to 2025 Jeux du Canada Games. Had a great session with TeamNL female baseball this morning. Did the same with the male team last week. Putting the finishing touches together on their mental performance. Can’t wait to see them all in action! Baseball NL

Great new SIRC blog written by SportNL Katie Thompson. The focus is on youth sport officiating: sirc.ca/articles/calli…. Glad I was able to make a small contribution to the article, which shows there's a lot more to learn about youth sport officials.

I recently wrote a blog post for WISEAN about my ongoing research on #women sport officials. Perhaps I'm biased, but I think it's an interesting read: wisean.net/post/women-and…. #officials. Thanks WiSEAN for allowing me to make this contribution!

A recent article (by Ira Gorawara) on WNBA officiating provides some great insights into the complexity of officiating in the league. I was pleased to play a small role in the article, with many others contributing as well: latimes.com/sports/sparks/…. Los Angeles Times #officiating

I've had an excellent few days in #YYC working with Hockey Canada officials. Excellent officiating requires excellent mental performance. I'm fortunate to share some of this information with the latest National High Performance officials. #sportpsychology Dan Hanoomansingh
