Poaching nurses and doctors from overseas is pretty shameful in my view. If bright and capable British youngsters want to study medicine, we should encourage that. It's that, or stealing professionals from countries in far more need than us. We must train our own people.

I believe that everyone should be treated equally and fairly, regardless of their skin colour, religion or background. Racism and discrimination must not be tolerated, in any form. It is very depressing that this needs to be stated. Very depressing indeed.

I have known Rupert Lowe for a long time, and worked with him very closely. He is a good man. Reform has attacked him with false allegations that have no evidence. Rupert and every Reform supporter have been betrayed tonight.

It's #BrainTumourAwarenessMonth. How many people are currently living with a brain tumour in the UK? How many diagnoses are made each day? How many children are affected? All questions answered below 👇

During #BrainTumourAwarenessMonth, we want to celebrate a true hero of the field - Lars Leksell. A Swedish physician and Professor of Neurosurgery at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden - he was the inventor of radiosurgery, and over 70 years ago discovered Gamma Knife

My last book published today - eight editions in thirty five years. There has been fantastic progress in how we treat cancer over that time. The NHS can deliver world class care, but fails many patients through delays, rationing and poor access. Britain deserves better!

Politicians should stop referring to the NHS as 'our NHS'. It's not a religion, it's a health service - a poorly performing one, at that. Stop treating it like a god.

I’ve known Rupert for ten years, working very closely with him. I have never seen any signs of any decline. To use dementia as a weapon is possibly the most disgraceful thing I’ve seen in politics. It really is nothing to smirk about. Despicable behaviour from Reform.

At US National Proton Conference in Philadelphia - amazing enthusiasm for proton therapy. I seem to be the only person from the UK here!
