Interesting trend: Student reporters are filling gaps in statehouse coverage in some states. The total number of statehouse reporters in Nebraska, for example, rose from 18 in 2014 to 69 this year, mostly due to a big increase in student reporters. pewresearch.org/journalism/202…

No lie. I initially misread this tweet as being about “trolls” instead of “tolls.” And my first thought was “But, wait, aren’t trolls usually *under* roads and bridges rather than *on* them?” I blame all that time I spent playing King’s Quest as a child.

The #LSU LSU Manship School of Mass Communication News Service's Statehouse Bureau (LSU Manship School Statehouse Bureau ) highlighted in this Pew Research Center report for its coverage of state govt. So many sharp, dedicated students have done important work in this program. Martin would be so damn proud. pewrsr.ch/3J4Luk8

#LSU students! Please take the time to take my 1-2 survey for my Tiger TV story. I’m working to get some perspective on how students think LA is doing (inspired by the Reilly Center Louisiana Survey) forms.gle/9K2scRqQ1yRkrR…

It's time to invent time-bankruptcy. I owe so many people so many things, and everyone is mad at me. I declare bankruptcy! Let the courts sort it out.

As I reflect on this latest American massacre, I keep returning to the questions: Who are we as a nation if we do not act to protect our children? What do we love more: our instruments of death or our future?

The Second Amendment did not come down from Sinai. The right to bear arms will never be more important than human life. Our children have rights too. And our elected officials have a moral duty to protect them.

I'm sorry to keep passing news like this along, but having been present for one of these nights, I just want you all to understand what is happening right now, as the bodies are being identified. It's f-ing awful, and it's just our choice whether we want this to continue.

Every year, at this season, my mind returns to this most fundamental of concerns: How is it possible that someone so brilliant and creative wrote something so terrible as "Wonderful Christmastime"?!

So… of course the first thing I look for is education. Looks like Biden breaks with his last two Democratic predecessors (Obama & Clinton) who stand out for how much more they talked about education than other post-WWII presidents.
