It would be gratefully appreciated if you can share this advert or pass on information to patients for participation in the Enhance Study. It only entails a quick chat with the quali researcher. Please email [email protected] if you can help! Thankyou!

Each and every site has contributed to the amazing success of PRONTO but a special thanks goes to University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS FT, our first site to open and who worked tirelessly throughout to recruit 1,511 patients (a smidge under 20 % of our target). Outstanding

Lovely gift received today from PRONTO Trial. Counting down the days until I can open it. Thank You so much 😋

As part of #WAAW2023 let us congratulate our lead PPI rep Julie who completed the Conwy Half Marathon this weekend to raise awareness (and money) for the The UK Sepsis Trust. Julie is a sepsis survivor and an inspiration to many. We work with Julie on other CTRCardiffUni studies too!

It’s the end of #WAAW2023 & we’ve been highlighting work from our infections division at CTRCardiffUni. #AMR & antimicrobial stewardship needs to be at forefront of our minds. We need better diagnostics, implemented quickly once evidence exists for better patient outcomes.

Great news but we’re still missing much needed information on utility of POC tests to enable targeted and ‘appropriate’ use of antibiotics at the front door. PRONTO Trial is now in analysis phase and will report later this year.

This #InternationalWomensDay, Global Sepsis Alliance (GSA) & Medical Women International Association (MWIA} unite to fight #sepsis & enhance women's health globally. DYK? women face 26.2M sepsis cases yearly. Tag, share & like for #sepsisawareness worldsepsisday.org/news/2024/3/8/…

🌍 On #WorldSepsisDay, we highlight PRONTO Trial's role in reducing sepsis deaths through timely antibiotics and reduced antibiotic resistance. 🏥 Sepsis can be tricky to diagnose: PRONTO Trial is testing new methods to guide treatment faster and more effectively. Read about Julie's journey and how we’re fighting sepsis: blogs.cardiff.ac.uk/centre-for-tri… #WorldSepsisDay Health and Care Research Wales UKCRC CTU Network

Will be with Lucy Brookes-Howell today at #ICTMC2024 presenting some qualitative findings on the challenges of intervention adoption and challenges of recruitment and consent (RWPC) from PRONTO Trial. PRONTO trial - procalcitonin in sepsis. Great to hear the confusing initial results. CRASH2 taught us the importance of planning a subgroup analysis based on underlying condition in EM trials - hopefully this will be in the PRONTO publication due early 2025. PRONTO Trial
