Harare Metropolitan Province Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution Hon C.Z Tawengwa handed over rice donated to vulnerable groups by Tzu-Chi Zimbabwe Foundation at Zororo centre,Highfields and Holland shops in Kuwadzana yesterday. The beneficiaries were drawn from districts under zone 2 in Highfield and zone 3 in Kuwadzana Constituencies. Nineteen people per district including orphans, disabled and the elderly benefited from the gesture, each member recieving a 10kg bag of rice.

The donation was sourced by Hon Minister Tawengwa as an initiative to compliment Government's efforts to cushion urban vulnerable families from the previously hit el nino induced drought.

The founder of the Tzu Chi Zimbabwe foundation, Mr. Tzu Chi said that he was happy to work with the resident Minister and promised to give a hand where it is needed assisting the Government to make sure no one dies of hunger. The beneficiaries were grateful with the gesture.
