Father Andrew Louth giving an interesting paper about the difference between Greek and Latin and its implications for thinking about creation and the image of God. #restroringtheimage Pusey House

A good showing by Southwark Diocese at the excellent Pusey House Centre for Theology, Law and Culture ‘Restoring the Image’ conference exploring Christian theological anthropology. Lots of excellent content on this critical subject. #restoringtheimage

An excellent paper by Fr Behr on the question of the Image of God in Irenaeus & Gregory of Nyssa. I have heard it before, but it is as though I hear it for the first time - it never stopes giving. #restroringtheimage

The highlight of today’s sessions for #restoringtheimage was definitely the lecture by Prof. Andrew Davison on reconciling finitude with the Imago Dei. Also the occassion of our first in-person meeting! Another great day in Pusey House.

An enquiry from a culinary historian revealed the surprising discovery that we have a cookbook (presumably the only one?) in our collection, which includes recipes from members of the Royal Family, such as the then Duchess of Cornwall (now Queen Camilla) and the Duchess of Kent.

To all those who made this weeks conference "Restoring the Image" such a success - thank you. This is an exciting time at Pusey, with even more great things to come. Just listen to the words of Regius Professor of Divinity, Andrew Davison. #restoringtheimage #puseyhouse

OTD in 1833, John Keble preached his Assize Sermon in the University Church, Oxford. It was one of a number of 'national apostasy' sermons preached by High Tory clergy in the years 1828-34, opposing the 'constitutional revolution'. There was nothing at all distinctly 1/2
