Pleased to meet H.E. Minister of Environment and Climate Change Khadija Mohamed Al-Makhzoumi to disuss ongoing 🇬🇧-🇸🇴 cooperation on climate and environment, including the National Climate Fund supported by 🇬🇧 and 🇺🇸 as anchors of #Taskforce on access to climate finance.

Access to finance is a barrier to growth in Somalia. Had the chance to discuss with the Gargaara Company Limited CEO Suleiman Dualeh who is finding innovative ways to support SMMEs in 🇸🇴.

Had a productive meeting with FCDO Director of Development Christopher Pycroft. We discussed our shared climate objectives, progress on the Taskforce for Access to Climate Finance, and plans for #COP29. Grateful for the UK's support as Somalia takes its seat at the UN Security Council.
