Another sunny evening for our final ghyll scrambling trip of the summer - the students were full of enthusiasm and were keen to take any opportunity to get wet! Finger's crossed the sun is still shining for next week's canoeing adventure! #QKSProudToBelong

Due to the hot weather forecast, students are not expected to wear their blazer and tie to school tomorrow. Please can you remind your child to bring: •a full water bottle to school •sun screen if they wish •a hat if they wish

Thank you to Pete Marston for last weeks employer talk to 221 students on the Probation Service. He explained about his varied journey, his 20 year career and the variety of jobs in the Prison and Probation Service.

We have over 130 students taking part in Bronze, Silver and Gold DofE awards each year. We have recently been awarded this Certificate confirming the outstanding contribution our students are making to our local community. Well done everyone #QKSProudToBelong

A huge congratulations to all Y7 students who took part in the Spring Showcase in June. Each received a certificate in recognition of their dedication and hard work. Their performances were brilliant, demonstrating great enthusiasm and musicianship throughout.#QKSProudToBelong

Our Y7/8 'Adventure' students enjoyed an evening canoeing from Fellfoot on Windermere. They showed great confidence on the water, lots of fun, laughter and enthusiasm. The next session for this group is a Mountain adventure. #QKSProudToBelong

Some of our Year 10 students enjoyed a fantastic Taster Day at Kendal College this week — exploring courses, getting a feel for the courses, meeting staff and making news friends! #QKSCareers
