Parks, playgrounds, walking trails... community is built on spaces like these 🌳 That’s why we’re helping north and Far North #Queensland councils with a $19.2 million DRFA package to clean up and reopen flood impacted recreational spaces, and lift spirits in the region 💪

QRA officers doorknocked 1,100+ properties in north Queensland last week, checking on recovery progress from the summer floods. We appreciate residents sharing their stories. Our June Reconstruction Monitoring now enters its final week, with teams on the ground in SEQ 💪

With doorknocking finished in the south-east and Fraser Coast we've completed our mammoth three-week Reconstruction Monitoring operation for June, visiting 3,600+ properties statewide 👍 We appreciate everyone who spoke with us about the major disasters of the past two years.

How a phone call saved #HerveyBay residents from a $10,000 weekly generator bill 👇 When our SEQ state recovery coordinators visited Riviera Resort they were determined to help them recover from #CycloneAlfred. Now the power is back on, and residents can focus on the future 🤲

Another $45.75 million to boost western #Queensland’s flood recovery 🤲 As waters recede and further impacts are revealed, these new packages prioritise farmers, personal wellbeing, small business, and tourism. This assistance is provided through Commonwealth-state DRFA funding.

DRFA funding is helping Sunshine Coast Council repair and boost resilience at 15 landslip sites, including this massive slip at popular First Bay, Coolum. Local crews are working hard, aiming to have the job complete by December 2025 👍

DRFA funded Industry Recovery and Resilience Officers have helped 198 producers in 23 flood affected Queensland LGAs future-proof their farms against severe weather. Working with landholders, the IRROs developed bespoke plans to better manage disaster risks and potential impacts.
