Women’s health is an underfunded research field. I chose it when I started my lab because of its long term effects concerning many of us! Another great collaboration with Elisabet Stener-Victorin Lab making this journey less challenging and more joyful. And thanks to all the coauthors!

We spoke to two researchers from Karolinska Institutet about their latest work that investigated how #PCOS can affect the #health of future generations of men. Read the full interview here: news-medical.net/news/20230529/…

We are hiring a postdoc to join us working with placental organoids and the big dataset of human placenta scRNAseq from obesity and PCOS. Please spread the word! Don’t miss the last chance to register the symposium “Epigenetic inheritance of disease: germline effects and placental programming” at Karolinska Institutet! A great lineup of speakers and free registration. Sferruzzi-Perri lab

Happy to present my results to such incredibly scientists in the #CRS2024 in the women's health tech session. Thanks to Qiaolin Deng Georgios A. Sotiriou for all the support in this last year of work. Thanks to Hagar Labouta for the introduction and Ana Melero for emotional support! đź’Ş

Our research linked maternal hyperandrogenism and offspring’s ill health. We now revealed that the placenta plays a key role and blocking the androgen pathway in it can prevent these detrimental effects on offspring! A great teamwork with Elisabet Stener-Victorin Lab onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.10…
