Patrik Allvin says he interviewed a couple former head coaches, assistant coaches, and some “up and comers” before hiring Adam Foote as the #Canucks next head coach.

One of the things I'm most interested to keep tabs on this offseason is how extension negotiations go between the #Canucks and Thatcher Demko. Both sides need to take some risk, and will be taking risk whether an extension is done or not. Our first 24-25 Year in Review here:

From a contact: Big power forward style player. He has some good speed and he plays decent defensive hockey. I don't think there's enough there to suggest he'll ever be a full-time NHL player, but I think he's got the work ethic to at least be a good AHL player.

Abby Canucks will host Game 1 of the Western Conference Final on Thursday May 29th at 7 PM. Another impressive, no nonsense win from this group. Another shutout for Arturs Silovs in a do-or-die game.

The Canucks need to leave no stone unturned this offseason as they look to upgrade their forward group. Could moving out a goaltender be a path they explore? It's shaping up to be a very thin goaltending market this summer, which could bode well for them. More here:

As a checkdown option to replace Brock Boeser, I like the idea of the Canucks buying low on Jonathan Marchessault. Of course, he needs to be the second or third best forward they acquire this offseason, but he scored 42 goals just two seasons ago.
