Good to see a Modest Beer tap pouring either 2Thumbs Up pale ale or a pilsner (not sure which one) at Amelia Hall bar, Belfast. There's also a Boundary tap pouring Imbongo.

When they're gone, they'll be gone forever. Following the death of brewer Charles, the final batch of beers from Ards Brewing is now on sale ๐ Get them at Old Comber Wineyard, The Crafty Vintner Lisburn Rd, Belfast and Neill Wine Groomsport.

Good to see an Elevation pale ale tap from Wicklow Wolf Brewery | B Corpโข in the Paddy Power office ๐๐๐ผ

A few Belfast scoops in The Woodworkers before the epic 808 State gig. Beer of the night was Godspeed pale ale by Ormeau Brewing Co. - I'll not talk about that can of Dragon Soop later in the night ๐

I first discovered the Hilden Brewery wheat beer Barney's Brew shortly after its release in 2008 and it has always been my favourite of their core range. Named after the 19th century Belfast baker Barney Hughes, it's 5% ABV and spiced with cardamom, coriander and black pepper.

Every wee while a beer will take your breath away. Enter The Light Gatherer, a barleywine from Siren Craft Brew. Aged for 4 years in bourbon cask, 13.6% ABV, it's hugely deep and chewy, full of fig, Christmas cake, woody spice, sweet bourbon and creamy vanilla. An absolute treat.

Seismic news in the Irish beer scene as Ireland's oldest independent brewery, Hilden Brewery in County Antrim, appears to have brewed its final batch.
