Student voice, absolutely. But it's not students' responsibility to expend the emotional, intellectual, and other labor required to transform conditions harming them. That's OUR responsibility. If we listen to what they demand every day we will have much of the info we need.

Grading students on their work habits is ableist. Eliminate that category from the progress reports/ report cards + those thoughts from your mind

So much education leadership energy going into managing parent groups that are hostile to antiracism. What would happen if similar energy went into truly collaborating with, mobilizing, and building solidarity with parent groups that are demanding antiracism?
