The U.S. Forest Service - San Bernardino National Forest hosted the 2024 Engine Academy for the last two weeks with 40 students from around Region 5, including 13 forests and partner agencies, NationalParkServices, U.S. Fish and Wildlife, and Bureau of Indian Affairs.




This week, a partnership of usfs_r5, U.S. Fire (USFA), CAL FIRE, & Corona Fire Dept #CoronaFire was formed to bring students from all over the country to FI-210 Wildland Fire Origin and Cause class to learn the fundamentals of investigating wildfires. A multi-agency FI-210 instructor cadre consisting of usfs_r5, CAL FIRE, and Bureau of Land Management Fire wildland fire investigators delivered a dynamic training this last week for 39 students from throughout the US, brought together by U.S. Fire (USFA), hosted by Corona Fire Dept #CoronaFire.
