Last week, we hosted our first Open Morning of the term for prospective students & parents looking to find out more about our Junior School & boarding. The highlights were the speeches & tours from some of our older Junior Students! We were thrilled to welcome so many families.

Last week, our Senior Library Assistants received a surprise treat at break time to celebrate the special award of their 'Library Assistant' badges. Thank you to our hardworking library assistants for their commitment, & to our catering team for adding a sweet touch to their day!

We had an inspiring Saturday celebrating 267 years since our foundation with our annual Founders’ Day and Prize Giving ceremony. Led by our Chaplain, Rev Jonathan Boyce, and joined by our guest of honour, Ryan Ramsey, we celebrated the achievements of our students.

Our Year 13 students had a wonderful time at their recent prom, marking the end of a significant chapter. We are incredibly proud of everything they have achieved. As they head into their final exams, we wish them the best of luck. They will always remain part of RAAS community!

During our recent Founders’ Day celebration, we had the pleasure of introducing our new Head Students to our school community! They gave their first public address in their new roles at Friday’s Senior Open Morning, which was attended by over 85 prospective families.

We’re thrilled to announce that our equestrian centre received fantastic results at the recent Dodson & Horrell National Quiz Final 2025. A huge congratulations to our team of four, who after a 9-hour return trip finished 5th out of 80 teams in their age group!

We’re thrilled to be holding our Colour Run event next week, to help raise funds for our new Sports Hall & offer a fun opportunity for our students to appreciate our beautiful grounds whilst raising funds for the school. Watch out for some colourful highlights from the day!

Our Dining Hall got a ‘hole’ lot sweeter last week thanks to this delicious doughnut wall, crafted by our wonderful catering team🍩 Thank you for making our dining hall experiences even more memorable!

Just 1 week to go until our annual ‘Gattonbury’ event for 2025! This event is a wonderful opportunity for our whole community to come together with performances inspired by musicals & movies, featuring students from the school. The evening concludes with strawberries & cream🍓

Our Art Department has been a hive of creativity this week🎨 Junior pupils have been exploring Emotional Regulation through art, creating their own imaginative Emotion Characters & designing sets to match. Whilst our Year 10's kept cool & creative with Calippos in their lesson!

Students celebrated their achievements in style last week, as they attended their Year 11 prom. It was a wonderful evening, with everyone coming together to celebrate their time at RAAS. We wish all our Year 11 leavers the very best as they move forward to the next chapter✨

We’re thrilled that Mrs Potter, our Assistant Headteacher & Director of Learning for Key Stage 3, was 1 of 4 outstanding educators to be awarded with the prestigious George Olmsted Jr. Class of 1924 Prize for Excellence in Secondary School Teaching by Williams College in the USA!

Well done to our students who took part in the UKMT Junior Mathematical Challenge! Special congratulations go to Cassie, who advanced to the Kangaroo round (top 11,000 in the UK) & earned a gold certificate, putting her into the top 2,000 young mathematicians in the country📏📐

We had an incredible day filled with laughter, energy, & vibrant colours at our recent Colour Run event! Students & colleagues took part, being coated with colourful paint as they ran around the school! Thank you to everyone who joined in & helped make this event so memorable.

Our catering team loved bringing a taste of Spain to our school recently with Tapas for lunch! As we are a community made up of students from all over the world, we are proud to celebrate cultural diversity through events that embrace all backgrounds, religions, and traditions.

Last week, we came together for a special lunch to celebrate Pride Month. It was a wonderful opportunity to show support for our LGBTQ+ students, staff, & families. At RAAS, everyone is welcomed, valued & celebrated, fostering a culture of kindness and inclusion every day.

We’re incredibly proud of students Maggie and Olive for representing Great Britain at the GB Youth 7s tournament in Klagenfurt, Austria. Their hard work and teamwork paid off as they brought home the bronze medal! Huge well done to both of you — a fantastic achievement!
