Lots of fun and creativity in the activity area this morning as Orla the Archie Play Worker The Archie Foundation got the patients busy on the floor with paint.

During Volunteer week, we would like to introduce you to some of our fantastic Play Volunteers. This is Sarah, she helps the Play Staff in the Day Case Unit. The patients made each volunteer a tote bag, card and plastic drinks cup to celebrate Volunteer week.

The patients visiting the Day Case Unit have been busy helping Carol and Nadine the Playworkers create a wonderful new wall display. Great work guys!

The challenge this morning was to create a Monster out of soft clay. The Patients got to work and came up with some great little monsters!

Nadine and Sarah have been causing some messy mayhem in the DCU this morning with Gloop. Messy play helps keep patients calm, distracted and is great fun!

Patients on the 2nd floor were getting in a spin with Orla The Archie Foundation wow look at their beautiful creations.

We are so lucky to have a fantastic team of Play Volunteers working alongside the qualified Play Staff NHSG_RACH 💙 . With their help the patients had a fantastic time Mask Making.

Ruth our Play Volunteer introduced our patients to the art of Pom Pom making this week. Many of them had never tried this activity and it proved very popular.

A slightly different messy activity today as we all wished Aidan, our Play Worker good luck as he heads off to get married this weekend

The end of another buys week for the Play Staff and their patients. Learning about the Weather, decorating CD's, decorating yummy biscuits and messy play are only a few of the things we got up to this week!
