Supporting our Veterans is so important and we recently had the opportunity to present a former member of the RAF with his Nuclear Test Medal. Former SAC Michael Fiddik was deployed to Christmas Island and witnessed two atomic & two hydrogen bomb tests in 1958.

WO of the RAF, WO Subramaniam, visited the Stn engaging with personnel to understand their lived experience & discuss current issues. Following speaking with the RAF Lead Team & Stn Shadow Board a well attended Townhall was held to discuss various current subjects. #TeamNortholt

During a visit from AVM Darryn Webb, Chief of Air Force Royal NZ Air Force he paid respects to F/O Geoffrey Simpson, listed on the RAF Northolt memorial. Part of 229 Squadron, based at RAF Northolt in Sep 1940, Simpson undertook his final sortie in Oct 1940 but sadly failed to return.

Today we bid farewell to Gp Capt Jon Hough as he handed over command of RAF Northolt to Gp Capt Lee Wales. Welcome Gp Capt Wales & the very best to Gp Capt Hough in his future endeavours. As a show of thanks station personnel lined the road as he departed. 👏

We undertook a major incident exercise involving a simulated crash on the aerodrome. It’s vital for testing our plans & ensuring we’re ready to respond to real-life emergencies. It also highlights the importance of collaboration with civilian emergency services. #teamnortholt

Our team of Visual Communicators really captured the essence of #LondonPoppyDay. Serving military personnel, Veterans, civil servants, ministers & volunteers joined force to raise ongoing funds for Royal British Legion who provide lifelong support to the Armed Forces community.

We hold regular Honours & Awards to recognise the valued contribution made by the RAF Northolt community. At our latest awards Commander Global Enablement, Air Commodore Paul Hamilton, kindly presented AOC 2 Group Commendations. Congrats to all recipients & thank you 🤝
