#2025 RAIZ Soil moisture & temp are key drivers of N2Oemissions. Measuring these factors in the topsoil layer helps to explore how Water-Filled Pore Spaces & temp impact emissions under different cropping systems & hydro-climate extremes.

These are the RAIZ Learning Centres in Mutoko and Murehwa. Farmers in these areas will learn a lot from crop diversification, cropping systems such intercropping (maize-cowpea, sorghum-cowpea), and different fertilizer regimes suitable for them.
