90 years ago today, a "burning of noxious Jewish writings" was held outside the University of Berlin. My grandmother, a Jewish Berliner, was 16. Exiled, she made a new life in Elgin, Scotland. My novel based on fragments of her life is out this year tinyurl.com/thom2023
