#Soilsampling and #soilanalysis are intensively carried out in #REECOL project. Earlier, a #compost has been developed and applied at #studyplots, and selected #plants have been seeded, there. Premogovnik Velenje is one of the project partners involved in these activities.

At the 13th #SUITMA Conference, #BRGM gave a presentation “Mine Soil Rehabilitation: Integrating Field-Based Approaches and Remote Sensing Tools”, highlighting their work in the #REECOL's project Work Package 5: Short and long term monitoring of ecosystem rehabilitation.

#REECOL was presented during a workshop organized on 14 OCT 2025 by VUHU a.s. in Dolní Vítkovice, Ostrava, Czech Republic. The event brought together representatives from several European project partnerships to share knowledge and foster collaboration.

In #REECOL we focus on #soil and #ecosystems in #postmining areas. There are no healthy ecosystems without healthy soil. And here is great news - the EU Parliament has just approved the Directive on Soil Monitoring and Resilience (SML).
