Today marks the 75th anniversary of Victory Over Japan Day. Thousands of military personnel were still involved in fighting in the Far East until 15th August 1945. The Second Battalion, The Royal Gurkha Rifles, Brunei remembers the many lost in battle. #VJDay75 #Gurkhas

On the 10th September 1964 members of Gibraltar's Legislative Assembly (now our Parliament) declared that the soil of Gibraltar only belonged to the people of Gibraltar. 56 yrs later to the day we celebrate National Day reaffirming that principle. Happy National Day!
