Terrible baserunning by France on a 1B to LF by Gimenez. Hesitated as he approached 3rd, but was being waved around by Febles. The coach is watching play develop in the field and waved the runner expecting him to be in a certain spot if was running hard. Blue Jays lead 1-0 T3.

Jose Berrios threw 23 pitches through two innings and then 38 Ps in a grinding 3rd to six hitters -- averaging 6.3 Ps per batter. Blue Jays 1 - Cubs 0 T4

Apparently the new X does a good job of blocking content as much as it shares it. Here is the column from G1 of the Cubs series

At AAA-Buffalo, RH Shane Bieber pitched 6 shutout innings in his final rehab start, with 5 hits, no walks and 2 Ks. He threw 75 pitches and will be in the Blue Jays rotation next time out.

George Springer ends his rehab stint (concussion) at AAA-Buffalo combined 2-for-5-.400 with a 2B and a HR. Both starts were DH. He will car service up the QEW with Bieber tonight. Springer will be activated on Saturday. OF is a possibility but more likely a start at DH.

Apparently Bieber in Buffalo wanted to reach his expected pitch count and went back out for the 7th. Reaches 90 pitches in 7IP; 6H; 4K. MGR John Schneider earlier in the week had suggested 85 Ps as his goal. Clearly Bieber good to go for Blue Jays.

RHP Shane Bieber's Blue Jays rehab assignment (Tommy John in April '24) ends with a total of 8 games, including 2 in the AZ Complex League (Rookie). He had 4 GS since traded to the Jays...overall 1.86 ERA, 29.0 IP; 22H; 6R; 6ER; 4BB; 37K.

When you're going well there are many things to celebrate. Vlad Guerrero Jr. pulled second base out of the ground and handed it to Alejandro Kirk in handshake line for his first career stolen base. Blue Jays beat Rangers 6-5 with a 4-run rally in the 8th capped by Kirk 2R single.

I asked Grok, the brilliant AI platform for a list of MLB players who recorded first career stolen base and hit a home run in the same game. It said Blue Jays Alejandro Kirk on Aug. 15, 2025 is the only one it knew for sure. Great. A lot of research must have gone into that one.

With all due respect to those feel option of Loperfido to make room for Springer was tough decision. Are 6 Blue Jays OFs on roster. Lukes great play, great throw kept Bassitt in game. Schneider key 1B, huge catch off Caissie. Loperfido up July 6 for injured Gimenez. He’ll be back
