Always grateful for the opportunity to make sure more people hear about the impact of freight crime on drivers, businesses and the economy.

Enjoying #move2024, speaking here about ULEZ and the road freight industry (although the use of headphones by all attendees did make it feel more like an ASMR recording session). Joining a panel on road pricing next…

WATCH 🎥 Hauliers are facing significant cost pressures - a record number went into administration last year. The next Government must reduce rising costs and regulation faced by the businesses who are critical to our supply chain. Watch BBC News (UK) clip below.

Great meeting with Aisha (Asia) Cuthbert at Nicholls Transport in Sittingbourne - an important chance to discuss the needs of the vital road haulage industry, and inspiring to hear what Nicholls have done on the road to net zero. Businesses like them need support from the next government.

Freight crime on the rise… we told @TheTimes that we need 11k more safe and secure lorry parking spaces to deter organised crime gangs and give truckers more piece of mind when they’re parked up overnight. We’re also calling for a freight crime offence to be created with

The road haulage industry are the deliverers of economic growth, and it's great to have a minister that understands what we can achieve working together.

Was great to meet you too Matthew Barber, and glad to hear of your commitment to prioritising the reduction of freight crime in Thames Valley. Look forward to working together to raise awareness, increase safety and stop this organised criminal activity.

Great to see this support from Lilian Greenwood and Dr Allison Gardner MP for #NationalLorryWeek and the road haulage industry. £43m invested across two different governments shows that this issue is too important to be party political! We owe it to the lorry drivers we all rely on.

Roads for Growth - in 2023 the UK road freight industry moved 167bn tonne kilometres of goods compared to 40bn tonne kilometres moved by rail and water combined. The choice to pursue modal shift is not a reason to not invest in our roads - they are too vital to ignore.

95% of evening journeys northbound through the Dartford Tunnel are delayed. The Lower Thames Crossing is absolutely essential to reduce congestion and increase productivity - vital to economic growth. Well Done Rachel Reeves - now let's get spades in the ground ASAP

NW Leicestershire actually refused permanent planning permission for an already operating truck stop that had received a grant from DfT to improve its facilities. You can't criticise lorry drivers for stopping in laybys and take away safe secure parking at the same time.
