For clarification ATC and Airside Ops were very busy dealing with an emergency on the Danish F-16 and had been instructed to vacate helicopters at Delta.

Met a father and his son in the hotel breakfast, first timers at RIAT. Dad used to go to Mildenhall decades ago, son mad keen on aeroplanes. They are so excited. This is what makes RIAT. I was able to give them the very exclusive RIAT ATC patch, sticker and keyring combo.

Honoured that some of our personnel were asked to take part in this wreath laying. The whole community will miss Sqn Ldr Long.

Departures going well so far. New processes and work accomplished with our RAF Brize Norton ATC colleagues is paying dividends today. Roughly half way there!

A few days ago, along with hundreds of his friends, family and colleagues, we said goodbye and celebrated the life of one of our team; the legendary Stu Little, after a short battle with cancer. Controller, bon viveur, master paella maker, beater of Chasers, friend, legend.
