This chimes with Healthwatch England evidence submitted to Health and Social Care Committee NHS dental inquiry, in particular concerns raised by some parents that their children have never seen a dentist in their life, or kids unable to access an NHS dentist unless parents stay on as private patients

Good to see this report focus on the importance of systems listening to communities; Health and Social Care Committee said it agreed with evidence it heard from Healthwatch England that patient stories are as important as spreadsheets for ICSs when setting local priorities and tackling inequalities

Thanks to All-Party Parliamentary Health Group for inviting Urte Macikene, external affairs manager Healthwatch England to speak on the patient perspective on post-pandemic recovery. Our evidence shows waiting lists are disproportionately affecting certain people, including women & people on low incomes
