Myth-Busting Monday: Does the depth of a wine bottle’s punt indicate the quality of the wine in the bottle? No, it doesn’t! The punt is functional (giving the bottle structural support) and aesthetically pleasing but it doesn’t give any indication of what the wine would be like.

The 2025 Platter's Wine Guide ratings have been announced! I'm very pleased to let you know that 3 of the Kershaw Chardonnays received five stars: Clonal Selection Chardonnay 2022 GPS Lower Duivenhoks River Chardonnay 2021 Deconstructed Kogelberg Sandstone CY76 Chardonnay 2022.

All smiles as Decanter Magazine votes our Clonal Selection 2020 the top Chardonnay in South Africa in their recent panel tasting. Out of 128 South African Chardonnays tasted by Decanter Magazine, ours scored the highest with 98 points — and was the only one voted ‘Exceptional’.
