We are saddened to hear of the death of rugby league Lion number 336 David Willicombe, a Great Britain tourist in 1974 and a member of the Wales Rugby League World Championship squad in 1975. Our thoughts are with David’s family, friends and former teammates at this very sad time.

We have details of David Willicombe's funeral: This is to be held at St Marie’s RC Church, 13 Almond Brook Rd, Standish, Wigan, WN6 0TB on Tuesday 18th April at 1pm, followed by the committal at Gidlow Cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations if desired to Cancer Research.
