This is hogwash. Completely misleading the American people and it’s irresponsible. Lawmakers — including folks on the House side — are trying to shoehorn a massive change to federal hemp law into a government funding bill that has nothing to do with reopening the government.

They snuck in language to senate bill to ban hemp. Make sure to call or email your senators to tell them to vote Yes on Rand’s amendment.

I submitted 2 amendments to the CR/minibus to fix onerous provisions in it. The rules committee allowed neither to get a vote. One amdt mirrored Senator Rand Paul’s effort to remove the hemp ban that will devastate the industry. The other would reinstate Congressional budget rules.
