Our work about how environment sensing in #fibroblast controls #macrophage numbers is officially online PNASNews! another step towards understanding tissue as a system & amazing collaboration w/ Ruth Franklin Miri Adler &others while in Ruslan Medzhitov lab pnas.org/doi/10.1073/pn…

Very excited to share our latest research on immunological features of #LongCovid. Our 2+ year collaboration with Putrino Lab with many other fantastic colleagues and patients - Mount Sinai Yale Long COVID (MY-LC) study by @sneakyvirus1 et al. 🧵(1/) medrxiv.org/content/10.110…

Jaechul Lim, Erica V. Lin, Jun Young Hong, Ruslan Medzhitov et al. Yale Department of Immunobiology reveal that #glucocorticoids promote the production of #IgE by rare B cells in the mesenteric lymph nodes in the absence of experimentally administered antigens. bit.ly/3BbJDIq #allergies

Thrilled to share our preprint on a circuit to target approach to reduce cardiac fibrosis bioRxiv, a joint effort with the ingenious Shoval Miyara from the inspiring labs of Eldad Tzahor and Uri Alon, and my amazing mentor Ruslan Medzhitov. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Super cool preprint from Esther B. Florsheim+Ruslan Medzhitov! Mice are averse to eating allergens they are sensitized to, and there’s a neuro-immune explanation! Clinicians tell me all the time that kids significantly dislike the taste of their food allergen. (1/6) biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Very excited to share our work on tissue division of labor that is guided by cell interactions and spatial cues, a joint effort with Noa Moriel, Aleks Goeva, Mor Nitzan, and others (see below) along with my inspiring mentors Ruslan Medzhitov and #AvivRegev. cell.com/cell-reports/f…

Started my new position as a senior lecturer (Assistant Professor) at the Alexander Silberman Institute of Life Sciences and the Faculty of Medicine at Hebrew University. We develop computational frameworks to study fundamental principles of tissues in both health and disease contexts.

What a treat it is to hear Stephen Stearns Stephen C. Stearns today as he wraps up the UBC Zoology 100 year birthday party. Stephen and Ruslan Medzhitov have written a very important textbook on evolutionary medicine. If you don’t own a copy don’t buy it yet; a 2nd edition is on its way.

Very honored to be included in the TIME 100 list of the most influential people in health, for my role in "A better booster" #PrimeandSpike👃🏽#mucosalimmunity Grateful to TIME for also mentioning our efforts on #longCOVID #PAIS #MECFS Yale Center for Infection and Immunity time.com/6967146/akiko-…
