Very happy to attend our ⁦Westminster City Council⁩ event promoting our new policy of raising the threshold of when residents have to pay for Adult Social Care. From this year, 315 more service users will no longer pay for ASC and 147 will pay less.

Co-operative Growth means breaking down the barriers that hold mutuals back. At the Treasury Select Committee, Rachel Blake asked what more can be done to support reforms to the Building Societies Act, to level the playing field and unlock affordable finance.

It was a pleasure to visit St Gabriel's Primary to see their amazing Magic Breakfast Club in action. No child should start school hungry. With Magic Breakfast and free government breakfast clubs, we’re helping ensure every child starts the day with the food and energy to thrive.

Today in the Commons, I asked how the UK-EU deal can support London’s West End, a vital hub for culture, tourism, and our creative industries. Removing the burden of carnets must be a priority in future negotiations to unlock even more opportunities. šŸ“¹šŸ‘‡

Labour for Leaseholders met with Rendall & Rittner, in our campaign to improve managing agents' standards. Residents have faced poor financial management and service standards for too long, and it is clear that we need to reform our antiquated leasehold system.

Trust in national politics is broken. But pride in community is strong, and people want more say over what happens where they live. Our new report with HOPE not hate makes the case: If we want to change how people feel about politics, we have to start where hope still exists.

Managing agents are charging unfair service charges for residents in places like the Hyde Park estate. Grateful to the Minister for meeting myself and residents. Stronger regulation of managing agents is vital to ensure accountability and a fair deal for leaseholders.
