Glad to provide comment for this meticulous investigation by The Guardian & The Gaza Projects (see comments by Adil Haque) on killing of media personnel in #Gaza. It exemplifies the slippage by which seemingly a whole society becomes a legitimate target, in direct opposition to #IHL!
It was such a delight to help develop this piece on democratising AI with the outstanding Stanford Ethics folks while I was at CISAC & on Bluesky @stanfordcisac.bsky.social. Very happy to have been included! newglobalpolitics.org/democratizing-…
🎙️It was lots of fun speaking with Erin on the War on the Rocks podcast, The Insider! 🎙️We discussed my article 'File Not Found: Russia is Hacking Evidence of Its War Crimes' (warontherocks.com/2024/05/file-n…), and more! Postcast here: warontherocks.com/episode/the-in…. Thank you for having me!

After 5 years at the helm, Volume 16, issue 4 out now [Featuring awesome special section on #Cyberpace & #R2P guest edited by Rhiannon Neilsen], is the last issue of GR2P that Cecilia Jacob, adrian gallagher and I will be publishing as Editors-in-Chief brill.com/view/journals/… 🧵1/5
The final issue as Editors in Chief. Thank you to Rhiannon Neilsen for overseeing the special section & good luck to the new team Outi Donovan Dr Eglantine Staunton & Shannon Zimmerman with Dr Lucas de Belmont as book review editor.
1 of the best decisions I made as a PhD student was joining International Ethics. V lucky to have been welcomed by such inspiring, intelligent, kind, & creative-thinking scholars! Changed the trajectory of my research (I barely focused on ethics til then!). Come join, esp. ECRs! ✨
Very happy and proud to be celebrating the graduation of my brilliant PhD student, Dr Rhiannon Neilsen (who earned her degree a couple of years ago, but is back in Canberra today to attend the ceremony). Huge congratulations, Rhiannon! 🎉
🎉 Congratulations to #MarxeFaculty Rhiannon Neilsen for winning the prestigious Abraham J. Briloff Prize in Ethics! 🏆 Her paper challenges conventional ethics in the context of war, offering a fresh perspective on the concept of just war. ow.ly/6kEK50VfY03 #MarxePride
