This is an accurate statement. For the young version of Jon Kent… The aged up version of the character is a massive failure- a shallow cypher despised by the discerning majority of fans.

I would say something like- “Here is unfortunate proof some readers bask in a sadly shallow perception of what makes a comic excellent, what makes a comic writer more than mediocre, and why competent editors are critical to the process.” I’d sip expensive whiskey, after that.
