Our visiting Collard Pratincole kept our visitors 'on their toes' today, flitting around the reed bed. Also we had sightings of Greenshank, Spotted Redshank, Yellow Wagtail and 30 Spoonbills. Will the Collard Pratincole stay much longer we wonder? RSPB RareBirdAlertUK

Having our Volunteer Wildlife Guide Bryn out on the reserve all day, was a bonus for visitors, as he was able to pinpoint birds, including the Collared Pratincole, & engage with anyone who needed assistance. We are very lucky to have such dedicated volunteers here. RSPB

'High Tide Spectacle' at Frampton Marsh. Select mornings between August and October hit the reserve to see the whole saltmarsh covered in high tide- a great time to see waders, birds of prey, perhaps swimming hares. Then breakfast baps in the cafe events.rspb.org.uk/events/117253

The #RSPBFrampton Collared Pratincole is still drawing the visitors in. It was on the reedbed all day again, bar one brief excursion elsewhere. Ask at the visitor centre for latest directions as to the best place to view from. Photo by Ian Bollen

Well, the Collared Pratincole may have scampered off first thing this morning, but there's still plenty to see at #RSPBFrampton, including the wonderfully plumaged Spotted Redshanks. Photo by Ian Bollen.
