Swifts raise their chicks high in eaves or nestboxes, returning to the same site year after year. When the young fledge, they launch into open air... & just keep going! They’ll remain airborne for the next two or three years, until it’s time to breed themselves. #SpringStories

Great news, we have had our first recovery of one of the Cromer young from 2020, ring code 49 and ringed by Chris Skipper. She has been photographed in Grimsby area with her own young. This is the first time one of the Cromer fledged birds has bred as far as we know 📷

Swiftlets grow fast! Here's how they've been coming along in our nestbox this year. 💕 Won't be long till they make their own way in the world. Massive thanks to Bolton & Bury Swifts for their support with this project.
