2 Shovelers and 8 Great Crested Grebe were among the waterbirds counted on the Barr Loch today. Hopefully, they will continue into the spring and have a successful breeding season again. 📷 by John Stevenson, last year

Please be advised that our wardens and practical volunteers will be carrying out some essential maintenance on the reserve today. This may cause minimal disturbance around the Aird Meadow while they repair breeding rafts and further secure the artificial Sand Martin box.

I’m a frequent visitor but it was good to have an ‘official’ tour round RSPB Lochwinnoch last week. What a glorious day we had for it. ☀️ And we saw an osprey! Here’s the link for anyone that can help with their fundraising efforts 👇 mypark.scot/appeal/volunte…
