We have agreed with the Town & District Trust that they will take our prewar Tiger on extended loan and restore it to operational condition. It remains an RVPT vehicle and will be available for our events once restored. It has now left us and in due course will sparkle again.

Another former Ribble bus residing at Chepstow in 2002 was PD3 1817. This was one of the last in service, being withdrawn at Morecambe depot when conductor operation ended in 1981.

Restoration of National 382 continues. The sub-frames have been dropped from the bus so they can be more easily refurbished. The National is an integral so no separate chassis, just front and rear assemblies as shown here.

It's been many years since the two types of Ribble PD3 have been seen together. The recent open day at the North West Restoration Trust gave that opportunity when our 1775 parked next to Burlingham bodied 1523. The latter is just completing a full restoration.

Not many companies bought service buses with Burlingham bodies but Ribble did. Last year we completed the restoration of PD2 1467 and now the Andrews family have completed PD3 1523. We were able to pose them at the MTT event July 31st.

Final phase of installing new lighting at our depot took place this weekend. Vast improvement in illumination and a much lower use of electricity so reduced bills. All good news

Our restoration of Ribble Royal Tiger saloon 377 has reached another milestone with a full exterior repaint. It looks a little bare at present as all badges were removed for painting and fleet names etc have not yet been applied. Should be on the road next year.
