At #IAEAGC, I thanked Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission President Rumina Velshi for 🇨🇦’s support to IAEA - International Atomic Energy Agency ⚛️’s work to ensure the safety and security of Ukraine NPPs and our Nuclear Harmonization & Standardization Initiative #NHSI to facilitate the safe & secure deployment of #SMRs & advanced nuclear tech.


Thank you to OECD NEA ⚛️ Nuclear Energy Agency and the Ministry of Energy Transition of France for hosting this event. Meaningful exchanges like this are the foundation of progress. The bar to securing social license is higher than ever. The imperative to build trust is more urgent than ever.



Reflecting on last week's General Conference in Vienna, I am very pleased with the insight we all shared, progress made, and I am grateful to the IAEA - International Atomic Energy Agency ⚛️ for hosting this invaluable forum. The energy and collaboration continue to be inspiring.




I thoroughly enjoyed speaking to the Canadian Nuclear Society and answering questions about Ukraine. I emphasized the urgency of raising our voices to address the safety of nuclear facilities in Ukraine. It carries immense global significance and demands attention.

Thank you to the incredible team Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission for 5 amazing years as President & CEO, after 7 years as a Commission member. I am looking forward to the next chapter in my career… Stay tuned!

After a long flight from Japan, I came home to find a gift from my former team at the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission. An album full of happy memories, photos, tributes, notes, and reminisces. Being the CNSC CEO was the honour of my life. I am so touched by this love-filled gift which I will cherish.


Last month, I received the ICON OF NUCLEAR award. I was humbled by the kind words from my dear friend Bill Magwood from the OECD NEA ⚛️ Nuclear Energy Agency .
