A great ambassador for Clinical Surgery !

The Surgeons' Hall Riot happened #OTD in 1870. The Edinburgh 7 arrived at Surgeons' Hall to sit their anatomy exam & were met by a crowd of male students & several hundred onlookers who opposed of women studying medicine. Not to be deterred the women went on to sit their exam.
