Some primary care leaders suggested having the ability to recruit practice nurses as part of ARRS would 'bring skills current ARRS roles cannot replicate’ bit.ly/41rXwio

The answer would be to use ARRS to fund TRAINEE GPNs as part of a GPN School. Providing additional resource to train and develop the role. Once trained they can be recruited as core staff. It is time to relieve the pressure on Practices to provide effective learning environments.

Ms Boast explains the school was created to ‘fill a big gap’ in GPN training. She says those on the course have been given protected time to learn digital systems, to document care and help with audits. They also have ‘digital upskilling’ days to help ‘move their practices on’
