جمهوری اسلامی ایران مسئول ۶۴٪ از تمامی اعدام‌های ثبت‌شده در سال ۲۰۲۴ بود.  امروز، کشورها مجری اعدام در اقلیت مطلق قرار دارند. در سال ۲۰۲۴، تنها ۱۵ کشور دست به عمیل شنیع اعدام زدند در حالی که ۱۴۵ کشور این مجازات بی رحمانه و غیرانسانی را در قانون لغو یا در عمل کنار گذاشته‌اند.

Die Todesursache konnte u.a. nicht festgestellt werden, weil dem Leichnam, der vom #Iran überstellt wurde, Herz, Schilddrüse, Zunge und Kehlkopf entfernt wurden.
