Intwasa has and continues to be a platform for local artists to shine. The festival has a platform, Women, Wine & Words, that deliberately aims the spotlight at women artists. September is around the corner #intwasa2025

Success isn't abt big crowds. But abt bringing pple together, giving young artists a chance to be seen, giving ownership of the event to pple, giving a platform to citizens to participate in & celebrate thru cultural expression. It is seeing ourselves on stage, & in audiences.

In cases of rape we want to believe the woman's story first. (We must believe her). No woman in her right senses would just wake up & publicly claim she has been raped. BUT, &this is a big BUT, if it turns out she is not telling the truth we expert the law to also deal with her

People who romanticise poverty have never really been poor. If you grew up with nothing - hunger a constant friend. Not knowing what's going to happen tomorrow. Afraid tomorrow may be worse than today. Then you will know poverty is not a thing to sing praises for.
