World Tourism Day in Kasese! 🌍 RAJEO Uganda and Youth Climate Council Uganda celebrated the day by engaging mountain communities to promote energy transition and sustainable tourism. Together, we showcased how environmental protection aligns with tourism development. #WorldTourismDay2024

Energy transition is key in combating climate crisis. RAJEO Uganda and Youth Climate Council Uganda are engaging youths in Rwenzori in energy saving cookstoves distribution and construction

October started quite better having been part of the #climatemobility and #KDMECC youth training workshop representing RAJEO Uganda and Youth Climate Council Uganda in western Uganda organized by Abayuuti Climate Action Network; supported by IOM Uganda 🇺🇳 and IOM East, Horn and Southern Africa 🇺🇳

Women and children are the most affected humans in regard to climate change. More so, energy poverty is causing more harm in rural communities. Through Youth Climate Council Uganda, Mathias Mwesige and RAJEO Uganda are fighting the negative effects of energy poverty in #rwenzori communities

Household air pollution is still a big problem to our mothers & children in rural areas in developing countries. This does not only affect their health but our environment too as they use very poor cooking methods that consume a lot of firewood Mathias Mwesige Youth Climate Council Uganda

Indoor air pollution can negatively affect human health by causing a range of issues including headaches, fatigue, dizziness, eye irritation, aggravated asthma, increased risk of respiratory & heart diseases & cancer. Women &children being the most affected Mathias Mwesige

Indoor air pollution can be reduced by use of improved energy saving cook stoves, briquettes, well kitchen ventilation and community sensitization on Energy Transition for All. Mathias Mwesige

After receiving training from Youth Climate Council Uganda, RAJEO Uganda is now producing briquettes to replace charcoal and firewood usage in western Uganda. Our briquettes are smokeless and less costly, these improving indoor air pollution and reducing home expenses

A Clean Energy Revolution! In #WesternUganda, RAJEO Uganda is turning knowledge into action! They're producing smokeless briquettes—a cleaner, affordable, and eco-friendly alternative to charcoal & firewood. This cuts indoor air pollution, lowers costs & protects

RAJEO Uganda, Youth Climate Council Uganda, Uganda Youth Go-Green and St. Theresa Girls S.S conducting Environmental Education in schools in Rwenzori. Pupils were taught the importance of trees, how to plant and grow trees in their communities.

Environmental education is thriving in Rwenzori! RAJEO Uganda, our host organisation in the region, teamed up with Uganda Youth Go-Green & St. Theresa Girls S.S to teach pupils about the vital role of trees. Through hands-on activities, they gained skills to drive #sustainability.
