Flippity hek. Thick fur coats really are no fun in this weather! Found the coolest place in the house, with a gentle breeze blowing, so not moving. Wake me for dinner.

Well THIS is very nice indeed! They found dear Ted's old chilling mat in the loft. It's been in the freezer for an hour & is now the perfect place for me & Red Cow to shelter from the heat.

Shoes/medals polished & heading to London for RAF Benevolent Fund Bomber Command Memorial service. Funny to think I helped launch its fundraising appeal with wonderful Robin Gibb Bee Gees back in 2008 RAF Museum. Looking forward to seeing old chums & veterans for a snifter Royal Air Force Club later.

Took Miss N to airport at 0330 today then back to bed for short kip, so poor Ralph The Retriever had a 0800 short walk in the shade before it got too hot. PLEASE don't walk your beloved dog in the daytime heat! No dog ever died NOT having a walk! [Vid: Ralph trotting along a path]

I have an ASTONISHINGLY annoying owner! It's a mere 34° on my patio so perfect weather for sunbathing in a fur coat wouldn't you agree? But every time I settle down I get shooed back in to the shade. Most tiresome.

Had the best weekend EVER. My Suzannah Nichol OBE 💙💛 had old school friends to stay & they brought former Guide Dogs Yellow Lab, Blossom & Jack Russell thingy Olive. We played, & played & played... [Vid is Ralph & the 2 dogs wrestling & chasing around the garden]
