The current model of general practice is failing to deliver continuity of care. The model needs to be turned on its head, building sustainable and fulfilling careers/ job plans for GPs (and the wider primary care team) need to be at the heart of this. bmj.com/content/389/bm…

FALSE FACT: Assisted dying need not detract from palliative care. TRUTH: AD is *already* detracting from palliative care. More than 100,000 people die every year needing palliative care but not receiving it, with inequalities +++. Where’s the commitment to fixing this?

This is so true. When a student kept interrupting a colleague taking a history the other day, he said to him "for a GP, the history is like a scalpel to a surgeon" it's our superpower and how we make difficult decisions fast and safely. It is a complicated and skilled process
