I'll be a plenary speaker at this conference - no crystal ball but plenty of Bourdieu. If you are interested in submitting a paper for this conference on the future of language education in Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU), Suzhou, Jiangsu, China see details #tleap

It appears its finally out now. Working with all the chapter authors has been a great pleasure, especially my co-editor @LaetitiaM19 - this volume should be of interest to #tleap BALEAP

Any research that mobilises 'the global south' as a an entity with distinct characteristics is racist by definition. One can't preach about decolonisation if they can't see the dangers underpinning their attempt to confine a plethora of realities under a grossly simplistic label.

Exploitative internationalisation is killing UK Higher Education. The widening gap between management and the rest of university members is facilitating this demise. We've suddenly shifted to measuring 'success' only in terms of international student recruitment. This must change

Campus security cancelled a research event deemed controversial. It takes an editor, two reviewers, and years of expertise to judge the quality of a paper. But within a neoliberal income obsessed settings, credentials don’t matter anymore. Disgraceful authoritarian approach.
