Today's episode was running late, but I did my best to pull together some useful perspectives and resources about #GenAI in agriculture, including: Takeaways from World Agri-Tech from Ranveer Chandra Claudia Headstorm Feroz Sheikh Jeremy Williams Wilbur-Ellis

Inflections. Enjoyed presenting on recent successes of new computing powers in the sciences--and possibilities ahead. Thanks to our lead in AI for agriculture, Ranveer Chandra, for the invitation to share my thoughts with this int'l audience.

We continue to push the state of the art in networks and networked systems and push the boundaries of #GenAI and industry applications through networking innovations at Microsoft Research! Learn more about the research through our publications in USENIX Association #nsdi24

Spectrumize (with Vaibhav Singh, Tusher Chakraborty, Suraj Jog, Om Chabra, Ranveer Chandra) focuses on satellites for IoT connectivity, especially in remote areas like farms and forests, which do not typically have good connectivity.

The era of small satellite constellations is coming! Yet, the infrastructure to connect them from the ground remains limited. Our new publication, Vista, in Association for Computing Machinery TOSN, shows how we can instead use existing ground infrastructure to bootstrap the connectivity bottleneck!

Jay Shenoy will present "CosMAC: Constellation-Aware Medium Access and Scheduling for IoT Satellites" at ACM MobiCom tomorrow, focusing on direct IoT to satellite connectivity (with Om Chabra, Ranveer Chandra Tusher Chakraborty Suraj Jog). We actually launched a satellite for this one.

Excited that this paper won the "Best Community Contribution award" at ACM MobiCom. Check out the paper at: deepakv.web.illinois.edu/assets/papers/… and our simulator at: github.com/microsoft/Cosm… (work led by Jay Shenoy and Om Chabra, w/ Tusher Chakraborty, Ranveer Chandra, and Suraj Jog)
