The annual Black Elk Mass and Pilgrimage in Black Elk Wilderness area near Custer was held June 28. Mass was celebrated by Bishop Bullock at the base of the hiking trail that leads to Black Elk Peak. Following Mass, a group carried a large wooden cross on the 7.5-mile journey.
